My recent mixed media artwork are part of a series I call “Gleanings.” I give the series this title because these artworks incorporate metal washers, nuts, plates and other metal debris that I find along streets and highways as I walk. My intention is to take what is serendipitous and unplanned (that which is discarded or unintentionally lost) and combine it with the intentional (that which is chosen and intentionally planned or organized).
